Report: Law, Heat Issues Few At ROCKLAHOMA
July 14, 2009Pryor, Oklahoma's Pryor Daily Times reports: Despite the 100-degree weather throughout Rocklahoma last weekend, fans came out to support the bands.
Some described the turnout inside the gates as smaller than last year, but the number of people choosing to camp seemed to increase.
Sheriff Frank Cantey said law enforcement had no major problem with festival fans. Nine people were arrested over the four-day concert period, mostly for public intoxication.
Cantey said the sheriff’s office tried to book fans for nothing more than public intoxication despite what the offense may have been, so the fans wouldn’t be stuck in Oklahoma longer than a day. Most incidents law enforcement encountered were minor.
